Maybe it’s a star coral, I can’t tell.  Also check out the pillar coral, fronted by chubs.  We found lobster, a spotted hind, and a grouper as well.  Also see mangrove snappers on the bottom.

This is a Pillar Coral colony.  Below are basic fish types you’re bound to see while snorkeling on patch reefs of Key West.  You have your grunts, your hogfish, you Goliath Grouper, aka Jewfish, and an Angel Fish.
