It’s still beautiful and clear out there. Threw down an old CD and to see what it would attract. Dove down after it settled and lay there waiting and was surprised by a baby turtle. Lots of bar jack on this part of the reef and lots of cuda and some nice sand fields.
This shot of a ray in the sand was also taken last November when the vis was clear. This ray was sleeping under some coral and when I dove down to take pictures, I guess the clicking of the camera shutter startled him and he swam off. I followed him and he buried himself in [...]

This Queen Conch was just existing peacefully in the turtle grass around Rock Key last November. I didn’t touch him, just took the picture and then surfaced. There are conch all over in the grass and crawling over the sand in the waters around Key West. I don’t have a book for identification of conch [...]
